Expressive is our own style: loose, expressive brushwork and bold, rich colour, full of energy and movement. It captures the feeling of a person or a place rather than every fine detail.
About us
We're a small start-up business run by two artists based in the UK, and we've been painting and creating art for over a decade.
We believe everyone should be able to have beautiful artwork in their home, especially art that means something to them. So we created Painted Memories. You share a photo of something that matters to you, and we turn it into a painting.
Our Expressive style is based on our own paintings, and our Classic style is inspired by traditional oil portraiture. We use AI to paint your photo in these styles, which means we can create bespoke pieces at accessible prices. We check every order ourselves, before it's printed.
No two pieces are the same, so they make lovely gifts. Or something special for your own walls.
Our two styles
Classic is more refined and detailed, inspired by traditional oil portraiture. It gives a truer likeness and a timeless finish.
